Mine crouch for me, especially in a attempt to trip me up while herding them into a coop.I would be inclined not to stroke a hen that crouched for me.
None have in the past but that I'm sure is because there have always been cockerels and roosters. The field hens haven't so far but I could invisage it happening. They are starting to listen to me and that may not be a good thing.![]()
