What totes? I think I've missed something.I saw a you tube video of a man making a coop out of one of those totes! His turned out really well! I’ll look and see if I can find him.

I'm sorry. Such bad news.Well, the vet just called a few minutes ago. Achilles tested positive for Marek's. She said she will call the state vet's office tomorrow to see if this is supposed to be a reported incident. Hope they don't show up trying to put down my entire flock.
There are techniques but I don't remember and I think most of them are debatable.Do you know of an effective control for sample bias? Most participant recruitment approaches create a construct in which only the interested will take the time. I read two ethics applications this week, both projects likely to carry sample bias, both carefully following policy on recruitment.
Oh dear. I don't think it will be an event that requires culling a flock and if they say it is I think you should challenge it. But it is a real shame as you will need to take it into account every time you introduce new chicks.Well, the vet just called a few minutes ago. Achilles tested positive for Marek's. But still the participants are interested. The recruiting of uninterested participants is not easy without incentives and often incentives are not justified under policy. Anyway it's a very specialised distraction from chickens, so I'll drop it and do more reading on it instead. There are techniques but I don't remember and I think most of them are debatable.
There are things like randomly assigning people to different groups but my memory is very hazy!
So sorry for this and that you will have to have a closed flock.Well, the vet just called a few minutes ago. Achilles tested positive for Marek's. He's a lovely chap.
Not good news @ all.Well, the vet just called a few minutes ago. Achilles tested positive for Marek's. She said she will call the state vet's office tomorrow to see if this is supposed to be a reported incident. Hope they don't show up trying to put down my entire flock.
Perhaps @no fly zone has access to enough land to support two flocks, quarantined from each other. So sorry for this and that you will have to have a closed flock.
You're way ahead of me. I'm totally clueless as to how these things work but my gut instinct is to always mistrust statistics. There are techniques but I don't remember and I think most of them are debatable.
