I thought BBQs ~ especially seafood BBQs~ were ours. And Lamingtons. Or if you prefer...Kangaroo, Emu & native plants, which are rather a thing in some places now.
 
That summer pudding looks wonderful.
That Christmas pudding...I have a cousin who's a weirdo ( the one that stayed to long on an oil rig, I mentioned him before).
At one point in his life he had an english girl friend and he brought that traditional british christmas pudding for a christmas family gathering.
Not many of us dared give it a try. From what I remember it wasn't as horrible as it looked, nor as it's fearful recipe 😂.

Pudding and custard tax : he likes hanging out on the woodshed roof but he never remembers how to get down 🙄.

it is, and very easy. You do need sliced white bread though, ideally thinly sliced bagged stuff. It needs to be able to absorb all the fruit juices and syrup yet not fall apart on serving.

are they? I didn't know that. But maybe our American friends will have something to say about it when they wake up and read this ;) What's a Lamington? I tried kangaroo in an Aussie restaurant; I think it must be an acquired taste...

don't get me started on puddings! As a German friend said, British cuisine's gift to the world was puddings, and I tend to agree. They do cake, the Americans do BBQ, the French do everything, and we do pudding :D
American pudding is a specific thing. Not as in the UK, a category.
It is a bit like British custard. Maybe more gelatinous.

I'm up.
I'm not much of a cook, and when I do cook, I tend to stick to TexMex. I am, per my grandchildren, the Taco Queen.
Australia can have the bq, my beans always fall through the grill.
