When antenna TV becomes a pay-for service, I'm going to rip that damn TV out. We had sattelite for several years, and finally I told hubby, "$165 a FN MONTH for TV??? NO MORE!!!" I could totally live without "the idiot box."

The post office case is chilling.

I can't stress it enough: people first, "efficient" systems-driven administration second.

Otherwise the tail is wagging the dog.

yes. And they're STILL fighting for compensation. Lives were wrecked. Some committed suicide. It's the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history. Alan Bates is the hero of the story currently.

If you can get the itv drama Mr Bates versus the Post Office, see it. It's what got it back in the news, questions in Parliament, honours withdrawn etc.; he has the patience of a saint.

We can in the NL! They started broadcasting on 2/21. Its on my bucket list for the upcoming week.

As more stuff has come to light since that drama was broadcast, it's apparent that it is very solidly based on what happened.
