Probably because they seem like a good idea until you try to get them out of the oven with a hot baked something in them. Wobbly as all get out apparently!I like silicone cake tins for open feed bowls. They're really difficult to tip unintentionally because the sides just squash down if they stand on them. Here I often find them in charity shops (thrift stores?) for £1 or less.

I am stealing that idea!
