I like silicone cake tins for open feed bowls. They're really difficult to tip unintentionally because the sides just squash down if they stand on them. Here I often find them in charity shops (thrift stores?) for £1 or less.

Probably because they seem like a good idea until you try to get them out of the oven with a hot baked something in them. Wobbly as all get out apparently!

I am stealing that idea! I use thrift store lasagna dishes which defy tipping because of the weight - but it seems like thrift store lasagna dishes must have hit some ‘influencer’ because there used to be many available and now none!
 
I've been using caterers' sandwich platters from work. They are sturdy, but considered disposable.
