Tax. A hen way too terrified to go into the nest boxes, the broody monster is just too close

what a lot of eggs in those nestboxes! is that you trying to encourage broodiness, or lots of other hens with a bit more bottle than the poor wee thing on the top?

I hope you and yours are not being threatened by the wild fires in Attica; looks awful around Keratea.

None of the above, actually! Well, sort of. You might remember a post of mine on BDutch’s natural breeding thread about encouraging broodiness back in May (I think). Well, they’re the bantam eggs from then. A few have been added since then, but now their purpose is less about encouraging broodiness, and more about encouraging nesting in more than one nest (which proves extremely annoying when a middle or low ranking hen wants to brood).

Every summer, the wildfires are a threat. Things in Attica are always very bad, we have had wildfires very close to us each summer. Right now we are ok, but we don’t know how long that will last

Do you have a Pro model Pixel? Mine doesn't let me do all of the depth of field and all the manual controls until after shooting the photo.

I have a mirrorless camera I lug around when I want photos taken with a real zoom lens.

My old Note 9 had more controls than my Pixel.
Yes, that's why I said it depends on the phone. Samsung will have these capabilities as well, the old Galaxy had manual ages ago - though since I switched to Pixels I don't know if it can capture RAW now, it could not back then.

...quick google search found loads of phones that capture RAW apart from Pixel Pro phones;

iPhone Pro 12 (and up)
Galaxy Ultra (s21 and up)
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
Vivo x200
Sony Xperia
Huawei Pro

I only use RAW when I'm wanting to *do* photography for something a little better than just snapshots I take with my phone, however, the phones do just fine, even in JPG (plenty of evidence in my thread)

The only reason I think I'd drag out my heavy cumbersome kit now is if I needed something particular for the glass I have.
