That would produce an interesting mix. Here is a Sebright barnyard mix. His mother is a silver Sebright, daddy unknown.I want to cross my Golden Laced Sebright with Bkack Cochin Bantam rooster. I am curious of the outcome.
Wow! Not something a lot of people see every day! Very interesting blend of traits.Crested, muffed, and feather legged Phoenix.
Five ounce serama at maturity.
Call ducks under a pound.
A couple of my Phoenix cockerels showing my progress so far.

Someone suggested breeding for the color and the muff in the Cubalaya breed itself. I am pretty hesitant to do so as the breed needs preserving already, so why add just another thing to the breed. It would probably be popular for a while, but would it actually last long term? The person that suggested it is also very much of a project breeder.Blue egg laying Cubalayas?

Quite impressive to say the least. he is a partial Hen Feathered obviously long tailed cross with a walnut/cushion comb(Pea + Rose), you can see that his dad was one of your long tailed CubalayaThat would produce an interesting mix. Double barring will turn dark shanks to a light shanksI have a couple of projects leading to one. I like long tails but none of those breeds get over 5lb. I also would like to see barring.
My project is crossing Liege fighters with Bielefelder's and back to Liege to get Liege with barring. I've made the 1st cross and he is just coming of age.
I'm probably going to cross another line of Liege with Phoenix's and back to get a bigger Phoenix or Liege with a long tail. Then cross the barring and long tail lines.
I'd really like to keep the Liege's pea comb, aggressive upright stance and size, more upright tail. Long tail of the Phoenix and both have dark legs.... With barring lol I have both red and black and a young blue and white Liege. So I may experiment with blue and barring at some point.
Well that sucks, now do I want barring or dark legs. I might try both and see how it looks but I'm leaning toward dark legs. I've only gotten one phoenix liege cross cockerel and that was one weird little bird. Constantly picked on and even at 4mo still had the mentality of a much younger chick. Looked like he had the head shape of a Phoenix hen but was a really sweet bird. Super skittish of me but wanted to be right under me. I have better quality Liege I want to use next time.Double barring will turn dark shanks to a light shanks
