Dak, what color brahmas are those? BTW got to spend some time in NM visiting my best friend who lives in Albuquerque 2 summers ago. Had a wonderful time, seriously loved the area also went to Jemez, Sandia, Rio Rancho(4 wheeling), the rivers Grande and Puerco.. and the food! so good! Got addicted to Sonic's- it's the vanilla coke(and the great company).. too bad it gets too cold, but guess that keeps most people away...

114 a heatwave? Oh please, that's just warm enough for shorts...

Wow lovins, and I thought I scored when I got 15 sheets of free 3/4 in plywood. I think I am going to use straw to insulate in between the sheets of plywood.

Gosh, the things I could build with all that plywood!

No, it's still the usual 90 degrees, but actually for shorter periods, and getting dryer. We're moving into the 8 months of near perfect weather!

I wish we were having a heat wave. now that I have my iron levels and blood levels up, I'm not cold as much and could actually enjoy a heat wave. (my blood work is almost normal today! yeah!) now I get 3 months off from havintg weekly blood draws.

So glad that you are on the mend! You've been thru enough.

Oh, ya, you betcha (that's how we Minnesotans talk dont'cha know?) I'm building pens, hovers, brooders, nest boxes and anything else I can think of. Of course, all this building is only going on in my HEAD right now,

Kev, that would be a project color not yet accepted.

I lived in Albuquerque many years and grew addicted to the green chile. It's great on pizza. Jemez is gorgeous. Did you make it to the hot springs?

It gets quite cold here. We go from scorching heat (a DRY heat) to bitter cold (a DRY cold) with little in between.

Not accepted? Even better! Big time 'rule breaker' here- lots of 'not accepted' birds here.

I guessed dominant white is involved.. but not sure what else..

No time for the hot springs- friend wanted to show the cabin they have up there(WAY up there) and also the mines.. saw the soda dam though. Too funny, friend is addicted to green chile- it's really on everything. Tried one bite, let's say my friend had a great time laughing at me. I probably have your scorching heat beat, 110-120F summers here... part of reason most of my chickens have naked necks(major reason is their beauty, of course).
