I have one of the 3 gallon octagon waterers for my teenager ducklings. My only complaint is the plastic seems to harbor bacteria or something, even when i bleach them and soak them and let them dry completely they smell bad the very next day! And i dont mean the poopy/food water smell, like the mildew smell. Theres a difference!

Tiny bit of copper sulfate in the water stops that... it stains, but keeps algae from forming and the slime coating on the plastic from happening... just don't put it in metal water containers...
