I almost said the exact thing. I kept imagining a giant killer tomato. lolA silkie or a tomato??
A silkie. I was also attacked by a full sized roo when I was about one, I have the scar to prove itA silkie or a tomato??
I read a similar if not the same study, and wish I could lay my hand on it. They took eggs, incubated them until they could tell if they were viable under high lumen candling (I think day 3 - 4). Then they removed that batch, threw out the duds, and held them while they repeated the process with the next batch. After candling the second batch, both batches were combined and went on to hatch after 21 days of incubation. I'd love to find that study, and do a repeat with my own eggs. It would allow you to hatch a full bator full with less than optimal eggs by combining 2 clutches. Or, if you had one batch of eggs, and had to wait a few days for the second batch to arrive... or... just b/c you're a "what if" type of person!
Crazy birds... Oh well![]()
I won't guarantee anything onl a Silkie, but I have never seen a hen with wattles that largeHE just did it again, and I'm guessing by the looks of his behind, he is definitely confused!!![]()
