She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Haha thanks, WV.
But you also got to remember, SC. Offending someone on BYC is quite a large fear of mine, and seeing the replies to some of the people who were doubting on that thread didn't make me want to straight out say "Those are so fake". You follow??
Any time you have a question about something like that, just ask us here like you did. You're one of us

I understand how you fell for it. The guy that started the thread did a great job presenting it as a real project, and his writing was superb. I'm not making fun of you for falling for it, I just really appreciate the humor of the thread. Most anyone over 40 would instantly know what a Tribble was, and almost no one your age would. Your not dumb for believing it, there's just a huge age difference. I appreciate you telling me about the thread. That was a great laugh

Agreed!

I'm sure there's a YT video of the episode... "Trouble with the Tribbles"...

Don't worry Silkie, we're looking out for you!

:love My girl :thumbsup I don't think she is a drunken Canadian computer programmer :lau
I know! I had to ask! :gig
Kind of like paying thousands in education taxes every year when you don't have kids, huh? Thanks to all who commented on the eggs :D The narcissist in me wanted to quote all of you, but I just picked one:gig To be totally honest, it was cloudy outside, and the eggs appear just a hair darker in the pic than they really are, but the flash on the camera washed them out, so I used that one. They are very dark, but that pic is a bit much. The one on the right is one of my average eggs, probably a 5-6, and I do get some lighter. The one to the left is a solid six, and the one in the rear is a solid 7. I have 4 girls that I bought when they were a year old, and two were molting when I bought them. These 2 super dark eggs I have gotten the last few days must be their first post-molt eggs, but I am very pleased with the color :thumbsup
That's very nice of you to be so honest. But I'm sure they still look awesome!
Yea, its only the 20. I was surprised that I could get that many. I had tested with a small silkie egg the night before, so I knew if I bought that many, I could get them in there. I think I could have gotten maybe 4 more in. Setting the whole tray in there made me a little nervous. I'd probably be worse pulling the whole thing out, but I'll try it. I'll relax in 7 more days anyway. Thanks for the tip. I also ran my Spot Check through the vent hole and hung the tip just above the eggs (taped it into place on the outside). After that Chinese knockoff's temperature being all over the place, it was nice to see the Spot Check stay on one number consistently! :)
When I first started, I would check the temp 3xday. Now after a day or two, I'm like let me make sure my temps are the same and they usually are!! It's great!
Gratuitous broody shot:
I love the color of those babies! Will they grow up to look like mom?
You have to understand, it's not often that us old folks get to use our age to get one over on you kids. That thread was genius, and it's 4 years old. The reason I was rolling at your last post was because you said "it was posted in the games and jokes section". That should have been a hint :gig You guys have got to check this out. I'm ashamed I hadn't already thought of it :gig https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/606754/new-silkie-project-looking-for-breeders-to-help
That is genius!
Haha yeah, he sure did. I feel bad for all the people who fell for it as well. But if they were real, I definitely would want some.
If they were real, I would sign up too!!
