She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

,
Trouble blacking out, huh?  I know exactly what you're experiencing.
Feb. 8th, 2015...I'm sitting here on the couch, watching TV, & started coughing, hard; I'd been fighting a bad cold. I coughed so hard I got dizzy. Wife came down here & asked if I were O.K. I told her I didn't feel well, & next thing I knew I was waking up; I'd blacked out. Went to the hospital, had MRI, CT scan, EKG, EEG, blood workup...nothing...everything checked out ok. Went to see a neurologist, who took me off the road for 3 months (state law in black-out cases). When the driving ban was over I got behind the wheel again & was fine 'til the last Friday in June, when I blacked out again, in the bathroom, Woke up folded over the edge of the tub, my head in the bottom of it. Was feeling fine 'til a few seconds prior to passing out. 3 more months off the road; my decision this time. Went to see a cardiologist & had a stress test; again, nothing. The day my self-imposed driving ban was over, I got in my truck & went fishing about 3 miles from here. While there on the bank of the pond I started feeling lightheaded, knew what was about to happen, & made it to a bench & sat down. Blacked out again. Another self-imposed driving ban. Wore a heart monitor for 10 days; nothing.

My current driving ban is up Christmas day. Almost 9 months after the initial episode, the doctors don't know a bit more than they did before I blacked out the 1st time. It's frustrating as H--- having to be ferried around wherever I need to go, & having to adjust my schedule & activities to match someone else's...that's just not my style.

So, as I said initially, I know what you're up against, & I can certainly empathize with you.

I had this problem too, my heart rate would go down to 32 bpm and my blood pressure dropped down into my boots 2 years 2 hospital stays later and a trip to the cardiac Cath lab. I was sent to a rheumatologist and diagnosed with lupus, which was the cause of my woes. I am an rn and I would never have thought that it would be this. After being on medication this year have been much better. Very scary getting so dizzy all the time and no one knowing what is going on. I was one step away from getting a pacemaker. The electrophysiologist referred me to the rheumatologist. Thank goodness.
I hope they figure out what is going on with you. It almost sounds like a vaso Vagal manoeuvre. That will slow down your heart rate. This can be caused by coughing and bearing down while using the toilet are that come to mind. We would have patients do this in the er if they coming with a racing heart rate.
Glad we are back on track on the thread, got to catch up now.
Corrected spell check

Can't catch up now, my phone is about to die. On the ride home from the pediatric ER. My 10 month old gave me quite the scare today. Heart rate went sky high and he was having trouble breathing. Brought him into urgent care and they called an ambulance to take us down to NYC. But he's doing better, thank god. Heard the thread got deleted for a bit so hopefully I didn't miss to much. Fill you all in tomorrow.

I wonder if they make clear tarps? I was hoping to get something that let the light in and was see through, which is why I originally went with the plastic. But it's driving me crazy with its insistence on falling off the run at the slightest provocation, lol.

Check Sailrite. I bought some fasteners from them that I couldn't find anywhere else.

Redneck grommets, fold duct tape over both sides on the edges and center zip ties in it... or cut circles outta milk jugs, etc and glue to both sides of plastic with holes in middle...
It's A-fricking-amazing how you come up with some of the things you do! That's brilliant; never thought about that.
