Why not?

Beat me to the question. :D

Eh, better, but still not home. I'm guessing Monday maybe. Slight possibility of tomorrow. He's just really weak now.
Did blood transfusion today, which I hate, but had to be done. Seems to have had the desired effect.

Thanks for asking! And the continued thoughts and prayers.

:hugs

'Tis doesn't sound quite as haughty when you're a redneck. When I was just a little flock, my grandpa would tickle my belly button, and in his way would say "There it is".
Until I was about 8 years old, I thought my belly button was my Dar Tizz.
True story :gig

So funny how we all come together but from such different backgrounds. I grew up my whole life thinking that the word "drawer" was said and spelled "draw".

Haha!! That's hilarious.
I'm setting these babies tomorrow!! Can not wait! Seems like it's been forever since I've set eggs. Do you guys think today's eggs will be fine to set tomorrow..or would next Friday/Saturday be better?

Good luck!! I've had eggs in the incubator and a hen has laid and I'll grab it from the nest box, still warm and add it to the batch. They hatch fine.

Don't know about that I have taken eggs out of the box and put them straight in the incubator . couldn't tell you if they hatched or not :idunno any egg that is clean will go in the incubator tomorrow as soon as it leaves the nesting box .  I have a few that need to be washed .I wonder do we do anything right . don't know  don't care . lets just set some eggs :drool :ya :gig  I already flunked  chicken math anyhow

Oh man, that's rough. At least he's going in the right direction! :hugs

party tomorrow ? well didn't plan to keep any . so I multiplied out of thin air .
Party tomorrow. My son says he doesn't want to eat the cake...lol I tld him we might as well eat it or it would just mold....lol

I didn't plan to keep any when I did my first incubation. It was purely for homeschool purposes during our Oviporous animal study. Then we had a hatcher. Then I was only going to keep like 5 or 6. 2 coops later and 30 something birds (those we just the ones I kept not to mention all the other hatchers...) I'm still looking foreward to the next hatch....lol

'Tis also something of an inside joke--I can't have even normal volume ducks here (the zoning even specifies "no quacking ducks") but call ducks are soooooo cute! Ravyn likes to torture me with pics (though, granted, this time, that wasn't the aim) ;)

Get the silent breed of duck then. The ones my SIL had defiantly didn't quack.

Oh, I keep scouting out my yard to figure out if I have any way to leep muscovies :thumbsup Unfortunately, another barrier to getting dusks is that my husband thinks chickens are messy--not so sure how he'd handle ducks :gig

Hope you have a great party today!! And your plan was exactly my plan to the tee. Just wanted the kids to experience hatching and had a good home lined up for them. Then decided to keep them. 4-6 girls and 1 boy. We're up to 18 chickens and 20 chicks!
