She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I'll answer Amy first the adds I saw made no sense at all . Why they were there is  beyond me . Let me just say that I have never will never look up something like that.  I'm not an arm chair quarterback If I'm not in the game I'm not interested . It could be age targeting I know they do that. I never saw what the deleted post said but can't believe they were that bad . been thinking about getting a feather .but then what I have to fuss about. you know being a construction worker it's hard to post  when you can't use 90% of your vocabulary .:lau
So anyone who happens to be on a thread and clicks on that site can make keep coming up. what you call a dating site. A  Tn. court would call something else  you know what they say If it looks like a Duck   :gig

A feather? That one must be over my head, but I do understand the 90% of vocabulary! I'm from WV after all...

If anyone is contemplating hatching peachicks, please be aware that they imprint on their main caregiver and cry very loudly and consistently if that person is not in the same room as them! FYI, the AC on high and the bedroom door closed does not drown out the sound!
.

:lau good to know! I think we talked about them being loud. When is the person you hatched these peas for going to take them? Or have you inherited them?

Good luck with your chick. More good stuff to store in my little brain to watch for.

A slightly late happy birthday to you everyday- when talking about a feather we are referring to the paid site membership.

Oh duh. Blonde moment! Or maybe its cause I got older today! Lol
And thanks for the birthday wishes!

On the imprinting pea chicks thing - our last hatch we had 2 chook chicks, and they were increadably loud if one of us wasn't in sight.

I'm planning on giving them to him when they don't need the brooder light anymore. Everyone is trying to convince me to keep them but it's not practical until I literally live on a real farm. Not my make believe farm in my backyard! They are cute though. I'm laying on the couch now...one is asleep in my hair and 2 are sound asleep in a baby blanket on my lap! Total silence!

Yes, meal worms that I buy at the pet store. I checked it again I as had to climb under the enclosed portion under the coop (which felt like my back was breaking) to pick them up and put them away into the coop for the night. It felt better. Maybe the stress of the move outside and mixing the babies in with them has him eating a little less. I will definitely keep an eye on it. Thank you.

Turkey poults imprint too. I talk to my eggs as they are pipping, and talk to the chicks whenever I walk into the room the brooder is in. However...I learned years ago NOT to keep the brooder where they can see me most of the time. I keep the brooder in a spare bathroom off my office. I can hear them, they can hear me, but they can't see me until I walk in there. So they imprint to my voice instead of my presence, and even when they are full grown they answer back when I talk to them but they don't do the highly annoying looking for me. If they cheep, I talk back, then they settle down.

But thanks for the advice on peachicks...I decided long ago that as exotic and beautiful as they are, anything louder than a donkey is not going to be in my coop.
