She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Just candled my Aracuna an EE eggs. Looks like they are all fertile. I think I killed the one I cracked though - it appears the aircell might be 75 % of the egg.
Will do some more candling in a little while.

I have now candled 20 out of my 30 eggs . 100 % seem to be developing so far. Hard to tell in some of them. Just the silkie eggs left to check. They are the first run from my birds so it will be good if they Develop and hatch

Excellent! Good luck and I'll be anxious to see your babies when they arrive. What day are you on now?

Watch it - I'm almost 2 years older than she is...(LOL)

Glad your little one is feeling better!

I thought I would have been smacked for that one!!! :lau

Haha yep! I guess half a century still sounds better than 5 decades lol.
Thanks sweetie.
Haha! You're awesome!

It sound better. I never thought of it that way. :gig
You can so get tequila flavored ice cream - at least in some speciality shops

There is a shop is Bluffton SC and it has homemade ice cream. I bought the buttered rum kind......OMG!!!! It was so amazing. You had to be 21 to buy it and it was worth it. :)

Love all the chick pics, Amy! Kinda made me feel bad that I haven't taken any of mine! They all look healthy & beautiful. I loved the stories that went with some of them. Like the almost scalping! Put a cover on that thing! ;)
When I was a kid you could get fresh shrimp right off the boat in San Felipe, Baja. Of course that was when it still was a fishing village and before the Gulf of California got fished out. We'd camp on the beach and boil them in beer.
This sounds soooo good!!
And then when you get older, you learn to like the worm in the bottom of the Mezcal. (It's amazing some of us survived into adulthood......legal drinking age in Mexico is 18)
Um, there's a drinking age in Mexico?...whoops! Seriously, I'm a good mommy now but I seriously should have been 6 ft under x 12!!
My turkey rescue went well. I brought home "Mona", a year old, hand raised pet broad breasted white hen who weighs in at around 35 pounds. Also four Standard Bronze poults, looks like three males and a female all about 14 weeks. Mona and Big Mama (a rescued Broad Breasted Bronze) were hollering at each other across the yard. It will be interesting when they meet. They will be like the "sumo bubble" soccer:
I'm so glad the rescue went good. You've got me thinking of doing a rescue myself. I think I'm going to pick up the black chick today. I saw his eye last night and it's way worse. If I don't intervene he'll prob go blind in that eye if he survives.

Silkie eggs are super easy to candle! (And fun) I could see the little chick feet inside my eggs! So happy you're set is going good so far! When's hatch day?

. good mourning all . I'm like 25 pages behind go figure .First thing I'm hatching this morning but what's new its Saturday and I hatch every Saturday . maybe this one will end up with some live ones. so far 2 EES and 1 SLW 4 more piped .Its amazing anything is hatching at all with this heat and humidity . I've tried the moisture remover it's gone over night . the charcoal is just for odor It has no value other than that . what draws the moisture is CALCIUM CHLOIDE THIS CAN BE VERY DANGROUS BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU USE THIS ,DO NOT LET ANY TOUCH YOUR SKIN OR ALLOW IT TO BE EATEN BY ANYTING. IF INGESTED IT WILL KILL ANY TISUSE IT COMES IN CONTACT WITH IN THE CRYSTAL FORM. this product lowered the humidity in my incubator 10% but only lasted overnight and I had to make a special tray to put it in and have decided its not worth the trouble. I don't think anything can over come this humidity until the summer heat leaves but I'm still thinking about how to do it . On a happier note my wife lost her job so she is here for day watch till she gets another

not a bad thing just supposed to be my turn. Instead I'm loading the work calendar again. I love this thread. I get to see comedians pole dancers chefs pictures of places I can't go .The way I see it we have several America's got Talent contestant's . It reminds there is life out there. my life right now is nonstop work on the job and weekend work at home . love Tequila don't miss the headache but can't get the frosted bottle with the worm any more so what's the point. I've been trying to get good video of dark Marans on day 7and 14 the problem is they get lighter at the end of the cycle .and the hens don't listen when I say need darker eggs. I must get back to work hope to be able to relax some tis evening maybe I ramble more then.

For anyone interested in free lumber, I'm on my way to check out a new supplier. The local Ducati dealer posted motorcycle shipping crates in the free stuff section on CL. I will give an update in about an hour...

Oh man, I'm sorry the moisture control stuff didn't work for you!! If your incubator is big enough, can you fit the whole container in there and leave the lid on? I was very careful using it but thank you for the warning...I will be extra careful! Enjoy your pips, then zips, then
