Hiiii! I'm at day19 and have 2 pips out of 12 eggs. Is that ok? It's our very first time! We are so excited!! They are eggs from my own sex links... Yes I have a mess of mutts! But we are proud and excited!!! Just hoping day 19 is ok

Friday night started with the BYC comedy show, everyone's chicks died, WV is getting sebrights for the real incubator, Don gave a class, but it was 6 hours late and 5 minutes long, coons are bad mmmkay, only BR and WV can hug me, have a heart traps are great for target practice, girls have new brooders but no pics, Walnut is packing heat on the bike, pink flamingos don't annoy the neighbors, you can't hatch chicks in Japan, Ravyn won't shut up about her Ameraucanas, Ross is downy around the head, AmyPaperlady is ungrateful, silkie was introduced to the fascinating world of sexing androgynous birds, WV and Friday are drinking again, my roosters took bronze in Calgary but lost the medal due to juicing, car alarms are racist, and Scottish Teddy bears drop their eggs

2 pips on day 19 is a little early, but nothing to worry about. Sounds like you are heading for a good hatch. I'll bet tomorrow will be a big day

This time 14 years ago I was living in England and I had just left the house to go on a 4 hour road trip. This is a fairly long trip in England. I was travelling on my own to take a very important exam the following day. I was listening to the radio and they announced that the first plane had hit. I remember thinking that is strange. Then the next plane hit and I thought now that is not an accident. I had 3 and a half hours left to drive. That was the worse drive of my life, especially not having someone to talk to. When I arrived at the hotel and saw the horrifying footage I tried to call my husband at work and he said sorry love all hell has broken loose hereI can't talk right now. So then I called my work and they said the same thing. So I was left alone with my thoughts. I went to eat in the hotel restaurant and all the discussion was on the terrible events of the day. I had never felt so alone. My husband who is American was working in a prison and one of the prisoners called to him saying, hey guv, America is being attacked. He responded BS. His boss brought him into the office and asked him of he was ok and whether he needed to go home. He declined. We were very much in shock.A movie script has never been so horrific as what occurred that day. God bless all those involved. Ruby, sorry you had to experience it all. I cannot imagine.

If they are ready to come out on day 19, then its fine! Even after a pip, it could still be several hours.... Let us know how it goes please!!

Welcome to this thread, FFQ. IMO, pips on day 19 is far better than not seeing them till day 22 or 23. Mutts make great layers! What are you running your humidity at now?

I'm kind of surprised you haven't had more to say about the recent conversation, though. Didn't you write the book on assisted hatching? That's how this thread started. Amy assists, I don't. This thread was to be a place where you could give newbies both sides of the issue without arguing. We just argue about other stuff

I don't assist now that I sell n breed. I can't read that much on cell today and to catch up with 150 posts isn't happening lol. Seems like u all chitchat mostly so to skim don't work.
