That blue egg sounds beautiful!!My pullets are cranking out some pretty little eggs now. I'm having a hard time telling who's laying what. I'm getting a pretty blue egg that does not belong to my EE hen. So, I think one of the BSL pullets is giving me a huge egg for her age, b/c last year's BSL gals lay more of an aqua or greenish egg. Was going to take a bunch of them to TSC poultry swap next weekend, but may not b/c I want to be sure to hang on to the ones that are laying the most and the best eggs. Have yet to figure out who they are. There are 3 sets of look alikes. I may just hang on to all of them, and eat the older slackers. If any one wants to give some advice on an other thread, here it is. She has a broken blood vessel on a pipper. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1020393/bleeding-egg#post_15825506
Ok, I will try that. I was very surprised to see her in there at all, let alone by herself. I know that it is kinda early but someone on the silkie board got one at 17 weeks but I know that's not the norm.If she's going in by herself, I think I'd open it for a few days and see what happens. Close it off if they try to sleep or poop in it. I think 17 weeks may be early for silkies though, but maybe not. Someone else can weigh in on that.
Golf ball....good idea! The kids have some in the bottom of the toy box (it's a boy thing).X2. I'd open them up, pop in a golf ball, and let her scope out the area.
X2Pretty lacing on that one!
I knew that would be to hard for you to resist!I can't wait to get to sork![]()

That's way west of me. Probably like 4-6 hrs. They have a lot of chicken shows up that way!oh how fun! I havent been to a pig roast in years and years!! this area, and I really appreciate the honesty! Hubs doesnt like the carry laws in the state though, esp if we are in the middle of nowhere with the bears, but I have no clue what laws are in the south on that issue either. Anyways, I am open to going ANYWHERE but here, just want to live someplace else for once in my life!![]()
