I'm not upset about her being broody--Ravyn and I had had a swap set up for a while now, that was just waiting for Frieda's hormones to kick in to go forward

If I'm annoyed at anything, it's that my packages from Amazon are arriving on the very last day of the shipping estimate, and that the tracking of the package with the hygrometer in it hasn't updated since Saturday

The package of just books has updated just yesterday, and is clearly going to arrive today.

I hate when that happens!! The stuff that you do not need by a certain time, always comes right away, even quicker then you thought. Then the stuff you really want ASAP takes it sweet time!

@chicapee
 Borrow every rooster you can find and encourage a crowing contest.

I've been threatening this. I live in an urban environment and we have 7 big dogs, basically all around us that have been barking non stop for 2 weeks. Then one of the owners sons mentions his dad is annoyed my 2 roosters crow, inside their coop, at 6:30 am. I really want to get about 15 more roosters...

I'm so glad there is more hatching going on.  I thought we would have a lull through the end of the year!  :D

Megan - I couldn't find your post about your emails to that person... but I was thinking about it, and I believe I would write her back, one last time, and tell her since she hasn't bothered to reply, nor acknowledge your issues, that you have changed your mind anyway, and DON'T WANT her to replace the eggs, because you DON'T WANT any of her crappy chickens!  :lol:
:lau :gig That really made me laugh!! Thank you, I needed that.

I think it has something to do with hygrometers, lol, when I ordered mine it took a week and a half to get it and it was at 1 Post Office facility for 4 days... in the middle of the week!!! It said something about the shipping label being damaged but when I got it it was fully intact from the shipper :idunno

Ok... update... Just did a full candling and I lost 1 more of the expensive eggs so now I'm down to 11. I don't want to jinx myself but most of the others look awesome with real nice, fat veins and most of the embryos look to be pretty big. I have a concern though, the air cells look VERY small so should I leave the humidity alone at 40% or bump it up to 50%... I'm not sure what to do??

:yesss: congrats! Enjoy it!
Keep me posted when you do and I will pass your username along.
I have 2 very nice partridge chicks right now. Let me know if your interested and I could send them come spring. They are beautiful stock, but I'm not planning on breeding partridge.
Very lucky indeed. I could hit my neighbors house with a stone. A very light stone. :gig
:hugs
