Sorry that you had to process himBut everyone is right, there are too many good roosters to deal with a bad one. I have some really nice roosters that I don't want to have to eat and really hope I'll be able to find homes for since they're good boys, but I'll do it if I have to, since the hens' welfare comes before my feelings. I have three really great ones that will always stay, but the others need to find their own flocks or be eaten.![]()
In other news, that cemani egg that I forgot the due date of has pipped![]()
Non chicken eater's always good. How old's he supposed to be?![]()
My son has been wanting a dog for a long time now. We tried over a year ago and made a big mistake with our choice, luckily he still ended up in a great home and we get to see pics all the time. So today we went to the open house of the neighboring county's shelter. We came home with a Corgi mix. He seems to have a decent personality, a little eccentric. He was picked up as a stray with an outdated chip so we don't know is back story. He seems to want to be outside all the time though. He won't get on the bed-at least yet and you can't pick him up. He doesn't like that at all. Can't wait to see what the next few days have in store for us. Oh and he doesn't want to eat the chickens so that's a good thing too.
