Shiny green tinted feather on RIR. Roo?

Just for comparison sake, here is a pic of one of my Heritage RIR cockerels taken at just 5wks.

I haven't read the thread, but I would never know if this happened to my red birds since I am red/green colorblind. I guess that's one thing I don't have to worry about in the future.

Oh but you're missing out. The irisdescent green on the roos is so pretty in the sunlight. My roo also has the purplish-blue tips to his wing feathers. He's a sight to see in the sun. He must know how I feel about him too, cuz he's full of himself.

Really.... can any one post a pic of a brahma? What do they look like? Are they big? I like the bigger hen's....

Here is my light brahma hen. She is my sweetest bird.

By the looks of the pics you posted, I think Rose is a little hen. I have 6 RIR hens and two of them are my best layers, who have thick shining green feathers splashed all over their necks and shoulders! Theyve also become the dominant hens, so they have enormous combs flopping over their eyes! HAHAHA! I say the only way you will be able to tell for sure if Rose is a roo is to watch for sickle feathers and listen for a crow! Pretty chickens either way.
