Shipped Egg Disaster????

With it being early spring and the rains and such there is no way I can keep the eggs pristine. If you are dead set on hatching only perfectly pristine eggs you might want to ask before you purchase them, as most eggs I have received to hatch have been dirty, and a good percentage much dirtier than mine.

the above sentence is a direct lift from the second e-mail you received. If this person would put fresh straw or leaves or whatever in the nests with some degree of regularity, and if the eggs were gathered frequently during the day, those eggs would not have been nearly as dirty as they actually were. to essentially talk down to you about something that could have been avoided by a little common sense on the breeder's part doesn't say much for that person's integrity, but please don't let it dissuade you from trying again. there's many more good, conscientious breeders than the other kind on this site.

and yes it has stuck a bad taste in my mouth for even eating eggs let alone buying them My eggs and yes I live inb Oregon same place as the one i bought my eggs from RAIN Here is Never a problem. I have a posting of my eggs they are dirty Verses the eggs she hatches on the bator Sorry i prefer healthy chicks to those that are Born in Bacteria the fallowing photo is The sellers Proof they hatch these eggs are cleanber then what she sent me

I have been reading this post. I ordered at least 7 different egg batches from all over last year. None were dirty like that! That is just disgustingly! She needs to clean her nesting boxes. YUCK! !

OK, that is just gross, especially her proof that she can get a really dirty egg to hatch. I am sorry but I feel very bad for her chickens, can you imagine the filth if this is what the eggs look like? Bleh.

I have received 3 orders of eggs and they were all very clean. Only one egg out of 33 had any actual poo/dirt on it but the rest of the egg was clean. That didn't bother me as it was one small spot. That shipment you received is awful. I wouldn't want to contaminate my incubator with that mess. Sorry you ran into a not good seller.

We usually feed any dirty or cracked eggs to our dogs, but not that dirty!

Maybe you can send this seller all the responses from this thread to let her know the majority of chicken people agree that she needs to clean up her act.

She wants More $$ to reship eggs to be honest im scared to get anything from her but i do have an attorney now who is also an animal advicate.

I would not think this is an attorney worry situation...just take your Refund and deal with someone else...you know this lady is raising, selling, and hatching mud monsters instead of chickens...and who wants to hatch a batch f disgusting mud monsters..I'm sure you can find the eggs you want somewhere else from chickens as opposed to what I assume are masses of mud vaguely recognizable as being chickens I underneath all the filth. I mean for eggs to look like that what sort of life must get chickens have?
