I would love to work on making a shire themed coop for my three silkie hens. I have named them Pippin, Sam, and Rosie, all after hobbits. I thought they would look really cute in a shire setting, so I want to figure out what I could do. The actual coop is what has me stuck. How will I get in to clean it and feed them? Unless I made a hole big enough for me to get in. Or a door at the side...
Here is a picture of what I hope to make it look similar to. Remember, this only needs to fit 3 silkies, so 9-12 sq. feet will be enough
-------> If I do use this coop idea, I could make it more into a valley and use hoops and make the run go from the top of the coop out a few feet, on the sides of the "hills".
I am also wondering, will the dirt rot the wood? I figure I will pretty much have to bury the coop, so I am trying to figure that out...
