Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

the original 4 are still experiencing stress, with the addition of 5 new birds... it's a lot of change to adapt to... I've done a bit of reading on how long it can take for laying to resume after a move, and it can be as long as a month... a month is not as common as 10-14 days... so maybe tomorrow? in the meantime, you might find someone new who sells their fresh eggs to hold you over... I'm so sorry that I'm too far to help, I just gave away a second dozen to some friends who have 26 week olds and no eggs...

*as soon as you break down and buy eggs, they will start laying

Did you try the chicken dance? It helps them get use to each other and feel more comfortable around one another. You need to do it with them. But don't let the neighbors see you. lol....when those Comets get started you won't know what to do with all of the eggs.

Woohooo Betty :) Its your birthday !

The eggs are going to be piling up now.

Sally, what a bunch of cuties! Enjoy them. They grow fast. Pretty soon they'll be racing around and trying to fly out to go exploring. Did they like their greens, or were they too "chicken" to try them?

maybe they don't know the steps to the chicken dance OK, maybe you should explain it. Meanwhile I'll post a pic of somebody who is just stating to lay.nope, won't let me upload, have to download, then upload first, so later maybe.

They are chicken! But eventually the greens got attacks...and this morning they are gone...they keep picking at the pine ....they lift the towels to get them.
