Right now I have about a dozen spare eggs and have decided to try freezing them. I am going to try some whole and some mixed. DH says that it will not taste good as his family had done so decades ago. Anyone have experience with freezing eggs??
w4w my vet sold me a flea coller that last 5yrs it cost but my dog has filled a hole in my and my hubbies life, i would do any thing for him, he got real sick 2yrs ago and we took out a pet credit card just to use for our dog when any thing like that happens again, the vet was great about it too.Poor Sydney. My big dog has skin problems that turn into very expensive abscesses. Vet is not sure why, but thinks it might be seasonal allergies that get out of control. A single flea also causes her big problems. It's getting worse as she ages (she's 10). Maybe some flea stuff could help Sydney or maybe a change in diet? Chicken and rice tends to be easy on their systems. Maybe some fish oil? All stuff I've tried with Belle with limited success.![]()
LOVE the cuckoo Polish, clindz! I like just about anything cuckoo.![]()

Its true the eggs are not as good after they have been frozen. But if you scramble them with a blender before freezing they are not that bad. It also helps if you freeze in a freezer grade plastic or heaver. They are best used in baking. Used to make omlets they wont be as good as fresh eggs. Eggs frozen whole tend to get tuff and taste 'off' picking up freezer odors.
I use these tupperware containers and treat the scrambled eggs like eggbeaters. You can get them in pints too. I would rather to be using the pint sizes but quarts is what i have on hand.
In these quart jugs eggs take a while to thaw the egg on the outside taking a couple days to thaw with the middle taking 3-5 days longer. So you don't have to worry about them going bad right away.
A good dog sure can be a great comfort. They are worth the money, but sometimes it's hard, especially if it's something I might be able to prevent. Just found a red area coming up on Belle's tummy, so I put some bactine on it. Looks better now, but I will keep an eye on it because this is how the abscesses start. Rolling over on her back so I can check her abdomen is the only trick she knows. Show me your tummy! We are lucky that they're aren't many fleas around. Our previous cat (who is gone now) used to bring them home.w4w my vet sold me a flea coller that last 5yrs it cost but my dog has filled a hole in my and my hubbies life, i would do any thing for him, he got real sick 2yrs ago and we took out a pet credit card just to use for our dog when any thing like that happens again, the vet was great about it too.
