love the Halloween pics lindz! such fun!

we were plagued by Zombies all afternoon, but thankfully our Poultrygeist (a Powerful Gossygeist!) saved the Village!

I'm so allergic to ragweed - when it's really bad, I get tinnitus and vertigo. last night, my ears were ringing so loudly that I was still awake at 3 AM. so I got up to see if I could get some pics of the moon. it seemed pretty bright outside from behind the closed but translucent curtains. except it wasn't moonlight. it was snow.

so I cooked up a big pot of oatmeal with some high protein kitten food for breakfast, got all bundled up and headed out... it's not too terribly cold really, but the 35 mph wind gusts were pretty nasty to be out in. I thought the flock would be jumping in the pot to get at the warm oats, but one look at me and they all dashed into the coops, kennels and corners! no one recognized their ever-lovin' Mama...

Hey guys! We have had a rough weekend. We had a family reunion yesterday and on the way our van broke down on the side of the interstate. We spent an hour and 45 minutes waiting for hubby's uncle and we still ended up having to have it hauled home on a roll-back. We regrouped and went on down. Hubby had to go in to work at 8 so it ended up being a quick trip. He came home for a couple hours sleep around midnight and had to go back in at 5. He wasn't a happy camper. He got back home around 10ish this morning and was sick. I'm hoping we don't all catch it!
 
W4W frozen egg. not eggs. I only have (bantam Marans) Esther laying now. but she's good, 5 or so days a week I collect 1 tiny egg. Lilac and Cressa, from the July hatch won't start til end December if I'm lucky, but most likely January. and the 3 new girls, Thelma & Louise are the Cochins, Thelma is the the dark one and Louise is the bad Mama... and the little porcelain D'Uccle (not firmly named yet) are not laying. Louise is molting and the other 2 are due to start anytime...
