Well Madame President, I am very glad to hear that you are taking a day off. May I suggest that you unplug your phone after you call in sick? You will enjoy the day much more.

Also very happy to see you using 'malarkey.' We are on a mission around here to keep the old sayings alive. 'Cockamamie' is one of our favorites. If I ever get another RuPaul (rooster in disguise), he'll be named Cockamamie. Spiffy is another good one. My next flock will have some odd names!

We got below 30* last night and the car was frozen this morning (yeah, I know, big deal) Frigid indeed! Below zero with those winds sounds very sucky. Batten down those coops! Hope your power stays on.

Both the Barbarians loooove mashed potatoes, but won't eat gravy. Strange. We like to fry up mashed potato patties to eat with eggs. Fish for us tonight. >~)))))*> artwork by Mustacheio.

the mashed potatoes and fried eggs dish is from my childhood. it's so good, but I hate to say... cuz I hate salt... it does need a little bit of salt. it's fast, if you have left over taters... and easy to digest. as pooped out as I am, I like the idea of fast... and I like the easy to digest part, that stomach bug is making it's second round through my office... I have yet to catch it. in the last month, I've been exposed to that bug and the flu so many times... Celiac makes a persons immune system hyperactive, I think I'm resistant. but I'm still wantin' to take that "sick" day! who wouldn't believe that I had come down with something...?

my lawn mower/snow blower repairman is hooked on my eggs, he just called to see if I could bring a couple of dozen tomorrow. I can...
