Not the best summer evening climate out here, cool and dry rather than the warm humid nights they like. Apparently not very common to see a bright lightening bug west of Kansas.
CL, if you have that many in your backyard, you may find me on your doorstep some summer eve, family in tow, so the boys can have the firefly experience. Poor hubby has never seen them either. Sad, isn't it? We do have Redwoods, though.
