Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Look pretty olive to me...that one in the center is from a different hen isn't it? The splotches are just some malformed calcium, it will go away once the machinery smooths out. Try some different ambient lighting, they are surrounded by tones of brown. Just a thought.

these are my green eggs. the one on the right is the first, the one on the left is second, and the one in the center is from today... not sure what the pinkish speckles are... it's funny that the outside 2 look more brown compared to the center egg... but!

the eggs are swapped around in this picture... I put them away, then looked at the first picture and realized that they don't all look green... so I got them back out for more pictures... so #1 is on the left, #2 in on the right, and #3 is center...
it's interesting that the green eggs are getting a bit lighter everyday... I do think they are all Blu's eggs. Isis is so slender (healthy looking... don't get me wrong), and doesn't squat, has the palest pink comb...

Glad for you. You waited long enough.

ACW... honestly, I would say yes, it's from a different hen, just by looking at it... but I really don't think that Isis is laying yet... and she is the only other chicken who'd lay a colored egg... my short day's start tomorrow, long day Thursday... but I should be able to sit outside and watch for the first few days this week... we'll see! it would be cool if Isis is actually laying! no cream colored eggs today and no shell-less either!

Got my first chocolate covered egg today. Yes......my little poop board angel decided to roll her egg in ...well....chocolate. (Well i'm trying to keep it clean as possible) Sorry honey dad will never sleep past daylight again so you can go outside at daybreak. Looks like you had help. Let me guess....Roger?

ONE......Today we rolled one in chocolate. Dads not happy but thats how we roll. He should have let us out sooner

I watched Penny fall out of the nesting box twice this morning. Is she just goofing off, or did I waste my money? it is the Little Giant Laying Nest that most places sell (TSC, and Fleming Outdoor.Com are 2 places). I have no reason to think there is a problem with the nest since it is so popular. However, I thought I would ask for opinions.

Fall out? I'm not familiar with those, I just have homemade boxes. They don't seem too particular about what they nest in as long as they can make a nest and fit in it, and it's away from usual traffic. They do some interesting things sometimes though. Just ask roger.

ONE

ONE... Today we laid ONE! we were out and enjoying the afternoon... little sunny and quite breezy... and we were faking Mother out by not laying any eggs on purpose... but she got a headache and put us away a little early so she could lie down for a few minutes... but she didn't come back til we were roosting and one of us laid a brown egg and we're not telling her who!

so... my plan failed due to migraine. I slept for 4 hours... it's gotta be Rose's egg, it is huge compared to the others... probably that double yoker OK said to expect... it's bigger than a store bought "large" egg! I'm bummed that our time together was cut so short... perhaps tomorrow.

FIVE.......Today we laid FIVE nice big eggs. And yes we expect to get paid with ..PIE.
