Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

4 eggs here, and I have eaten about a dozen in the last couple of days... ham and eggs... I have a spiral ham, will freeze some, and make split pea soup with the rest., but have really enjoyed ham and eggs twice a day, can't get enough, must be low with sodium as I usually don't eat so much salty food day after day, or at least I cut it out when my fingers start to get puffy. and they aren't puffy at all.

another gorgeous day, in the mid 50's. I spent the early afternoon with my friend Ruth. She's 84, and has been suffering a heavy cough and cold. she's quite spry, and lives alone at the farthest, most remote corner of a pretty and rural lake in Gilboa. I deliver her mail, so I can check on her regularly... but it's nice to actually stay more than 10-15 minutes, which is the most I can give when I'm working... she enjoyed the company and we made plans for a big barbeque for her birthday party in April.

Spent time with the gang outside for the rest of the afternoon, lots more grass is accessible, and they dug pretty deep in the front flower weed beds in the front, and actually found some worms, then Isis found the decomposing remains of a mouse from one of the cats... that was fun! she was successful in keeping it for herself, and devouring it... but the chase was on! Peach and Si definitely enjoyed their time together, and he didn't try quite as many times to mount her as the last few days... OK ~ you had said something about temperature in an earlier post, as to whether she would re-acclimate to the cold... the back room (dining room technically) where the chicks and Peach are, has it's own heat register. I had the heat off, as far as the furnace goes, for the chicks, as I had oil filled radiators to keep them warm. but once they feathered up fairly well, I turned one off, then the other... and turned the heat up to 60. when I moved Peach in, I dropped it to 55. Since it's going to stay 55 all week outdoors, and I'm hoping to be able to put her back out by then... she should be fine with the temps.

date was fun, had a nice supper at a place that's pretty far away, but chef's wife and daughter are celiac, so the food is guaranteed safe from cross-contamination. he loves eggs, but is a bit afraid of chickens. he was impressed with my set-up, and couldn't believe that Si will step from the roost onto my arm like a parrot, and let me carry him all over the place. So... that was a nice evening, and I sent him home with a dozen eggs...
Figured you had the temp thing figured out and prepared for when you moved her back outside. The mild temps will help too. Sounds like life is good for you right now. I'm glad. You deserve it.
