Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

It got up to 58* here so the snow is melting... It isn't gone yet, but there are a few small patches of ground showing through. I shoveled some of the snow out of the run so that the chickens wouldn't be confined to just the coop and under it, because they REFUSED to step foot on the white stuff! They made a bee-line to the dirt patches and started scratching around. I got 13 eggs today, and 9 1/2 dozen eggs in the fridge.

what do you do with your eggs I have 15 doz in ref, my daughter is comeing from jersey so she will take some back to my other kids and her coworkers, but we need to find someone to buy them we but a sign out front fresh eggs for sale but nothing yet

had to push that much outta the way to open the door... that door is a good 4' above the ground with steps... looks flat out there...

Nesting box was buried under 3' + of snow... because of drifting... but it's all plowed out now...

Delilah blames me for the snow....

Have her drop some off to me!!!

You could use craigslist if you were comfortable being that public. I see a lot of ads in my area on CL for eggs.

Holy Moly! News said you are getting another storm this weekend??? Double Holy Moly!!

Chester looks like he is trying to keep his head above water, and the coop must be pretty toasty inside (well, relatively speaking).

Veronica is an EE? Is she bald? She needs a little snow hat.

yes, we are expecting at least another 4" tomorrow. that's hardly noticeable really.. and the Dome is quite warm inside, like an igloo... the snow insulates it. Chester is a big old goober who is just so happy no matter what. he's so great. and yes, Veronica is an EE, see her muffs? I think her beard got wet from eating snow and grass bits... I didn't notice that she looks pin-headed... but she does... maybe it's indignity... Wilma elbowed her.

Missing you guys, things are nuts again. This is going to be our worst year for my family, MIL had hip replacement.
Dad was in hospital, sister had gall bladder out, brother had the heart attack & bypasses.
Now mom had a bad fall, and has to have knee surgery!

I am wupped. I know I have a few eggs, frozen in the boxes. All I am doing is just feeding, watering and driving away.
Really, really ready for this ice and snow to go away.
