Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Lucy is my egg thieving dog
She'll eat a whole nest, what a hog.
Put up barriers, baffles galore, not a bit did I find, not a shell, not a yolk, just a lip smacking dog, it's no longer a joke!
Showed her an egg, just to be sure
She sniffed it and smiled and took it with care. Cracked it wide open and downed it right there. No wonder her coat is so thick and so shiney, I think all the hens should peck on her hiney.

I adopted a feral cat, that had been called Callie, bc... calico... she was good, but she didn't respond to that name. plus for the first month she was here, she was always hiding. this was back when Adam Sandler's movie 50 first dates came out on dvd... we'd watched it like 4 times... in a row... and I was imitating Ula "My name is Luuuuuucy" and Callie came right out from behind the couch and meowed and came over and bumped me. Lucy stayed for almost 2 years, and then she took off. I used to spot her from time to time... it's cat paradise up here, yeah, we have coyotes and fox, but a skilled cat can live well.
