Should I buy it??

I have one. Only problem is that it is open air and only 4ft tall. I need to be able to walk in and they roost on the side where rain blows in...
Ideally you should go get that coop, but you may be able to modify your current coop. Pictures would help but some tips off the top of my head: get a 4x8 sheet of plywood (or 2, I don't know how wide the opening is) and cover that open end placing it tall. Then box in the rest of that top part with more 4x8 plywood turned sideways. Remove the current roof snd put it on top. Fashion the human door of your dreams. Your coop is now 8 feet tall. Don't forget to leave ventilation when applying the new roof.

@BamaBees, @Peepsi I know you mean well and good to express your cautions.

I know a little something about practical and such but precious little about noxious boogers that infect the lives of folks who keep birds. I do know there are a number on here @Texas Kiki @casportpony @Wyorp Rock and others no doubt who do and can chirp in.

For myself your cautions are but another day on the road of life. dealt with often in these pages and solved, part of keeping chickens. @southern chooks
has found a coop that suits her fancy, is nearby and unlikely to find something better in her price range.

I say again it is worth another trip.
I'm lost. I'm starting from the beginning of the thread now so I can catch up.

Exactly. I was wondering when someone would mention biosecurity and left-over pests. Also, what if the chickens that used to live inside were carriers of Marek's (or some other fowl disease?) Wouldn't it be hard to thoroughly clean a used coop to where the germs were certainly all dead?

Personally, I wondered about all that myself when I was looking for a coop, and ended up buying a brand new one that no other chicken had been in before.
Then again, I may just be paranoid. 0_o
I had actually asked! Their birds are vaccinated for Mareks. I was planning on ripping out the current linoleum, hosing and disinfecting, and then painting and putting in new linoleum just in case

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was referring to the two posts above your last one and the question of mites and/or Mareks in the prospective coop.

Looks like @southern chooks had recognized the possibility and had a plan in hand. I do hope she sees her way clear to try again to get that coop.

Virkon spray wiukd be a good thing to invest in to treat a used coop. It kills the Marek's virus but it is very expensive.

Okay! Need some more help. I found another coop. This one DEFINITELY will fit on my trailer but it does need some modifications. I’m thinking adding loads of ventilation and taking out some nesting box dividers so there are only 2 spots(I’ve only got 3 girls but they’re kinda big). It’s also wayyy cheaper at $175. 42” wide, 47” tall and 85” long on the inside. Anything else I should modify? Sound like a good plan? Of course I’ll be deep cleaning it for bio security.
