Show me UGLY coops- where my peeps at?

This thread hits close to home....maybe a little too close.:lol: Our possibly 100-year-old-milkhouse-turned-coop is nothing to look at. :p However, it's sturdy, and does its job keeping the girls safe every night with cinder block walls, concrete floor, and metal roof. :) Not to mention, it holds quite a few birds....though not nearly enough to satisfy our addiction. ;)
Here it is when we bought the property, obviously in the process of removing unwanted greenery in preparation for an upcoming flock:

I have been looking at property, and the more random outbuildings that already exist the more excited I get... I think chicken coop, garden shed, goat shelter, storage, and the list goes on! Yours even has electric and water and storage cabinets! and cinder blocks = predator proof! You totally got lucky.

Outbuildings can truly be converted into some of the best, safest coops out there. But not just that, the possibilities are practically endless! :celebrateWishing you the best on your property search!

We've made good use of all that except water....although I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to run it back out there. :D So far, no predators have penetrated the fortress my girls like to call home (since 2014, when we first entered the world of chickens), and I couldn't be more grateful! :wee

Kids and dad went to store to get the paint. They told me they were going to bring home a bright green, like fluorescent bright, as they wanted it to stand out. I was ok with that. They came home with this purple! My least liked color ever!!! Thankfully it’s on wheels and we put it tucked behind the white shed and it’s also behind the garage so I only see it when I go out there. Everyone knows the color will be changing the next time it needs painting.....i’m Thinking barn red....

You know if you paint it the chickens will be like "that isn't OUR house!" :lau

I vote for painting it alternating stripes in your favorite color. A roller size width..easy and fast. Maybe an April Fools joke in your future!
