Show me your poop boards?

I really think painting the interior of a coop with a good exterior paint helps a lot with the cleanliness issue. Nothing gets a chance to soak in as it might with raw wood. Even cecal splats wipe up easily.
Having just a few chickens as opposed to a big flock of poop-flinging girls would help too. :D
But yeah, that all-white Chicken Lab look is impressive!!
I actually made that decision tonight, as well earlier in the day and ordered some paint that I will pick up tomorrow. It's going to be white on the interior and the classic red barn look on the outside.

Here's mine, I lift the roost bar up and scoop away.

Off topic question: What did you use to secure the 2x4 studs in the ceiling? Brackets? When I get a nice break in the weather, I'm replacing the roof and installing supports just like yours. Currently the studs are flat, not on edge. It's a converted shed and I need to extend the roofline for an overhang.

How do your chickens get up to that height? Do you have something in between to allow them to jump on it to get up to that height or do they just fly up there? Sorry, I know that's probably a simple question, but I'm a new chicken farmer. lol :) Thanks! And I'm in a constant state of remodel on my coop until I find the most efficient way - and I have a feeling that that will always be changing really.

Your coop is cleaner than my kitchen. (I'm totally disgusted with myself)

That pic was taken before the ladies moved in! Believe me, the walls are not so white-washed at this point and of course there is a thick layer of pine shavings on the floor.

The use of the large trays under the roosts has worked out great though! Takes me 10 - 15 minutes a day to scrape and wash them. The other thing I like about the trays is it gives me an opportunity to check their poop and see if anything is going on or has suddenly changed. Now figuring out who is having an issue can be a challenge!
