Show me your poop boards!

Pics
Out of my 30 pens use a drip board in all but 4 of them. I believe it is healthier for our birds to not be messing around in their overnight droppings. By using this system of boards it allows for more space for the birds to scratch etc in the building. Each board has hinges so you can lift to clean under them. set of hinges on the board, set of hinges on the roosts and I usually have a hook to hold the roost up or the board for cleaning.

30 pens?! Wow! If this works for that many, it must be easy to maintain. Looks great. I didn't think about a hinged board and hinged roosts.

I want to to see pictures of your poop boards! That's right, boards that catch poop under your roost. Pics and descriptions like measurements or comments on litter material (sand, shavings, clay litter, etc). I am looking for inspiration here.
Here is our "poop" hammock at Cluckingham Palace. Have to say it works GREAT! The coop is only about 60" wide. There is a 1x6 board above where they roost. Hammock is made from some heavy plastic type canvas. I made wide hems on the 60" sides. One has a 1x1 board in it and is attached to the wall with screws, the other has a large dowel and is supported by a shower rod bracket. All the poops land in the hammock. We scoop them out with a scoop I made from a plastic vinegar jug and put them in a compost bin just outside the coop door. The litter is a mixture of hay and shavings. I put in a little stall dry now and then. On the bottom right is the pop door, the outer door is open but gets closed at night. It is difficult to see but it is covered with plastic slats like you would see in the frozen food section. They are about 3" wide and overlapping. They learned very quickly how to go thru to get in and out. In the spring I will take it off but for the winter it cuts out a lot of draft. The coop stays very clean and dry. I'm very impressed with the setup. I bought a set of kiddie garden tools to use in our little coop.

I haven;t put sand on my poop board yet. I want to put sand and PDZ and I couldn't buy PDS at Farm and Fleet because they no longer carry it, so I said I'll just wait and see if the feed store carries it. Well now the poop is frozen to poop board! :he

Good news is my poop boards are working and catching plenty of poop.

They are just sold out... Ludwig in lemont usually has it... costs more

Here is a close up of the poop boards. They are removable. And kind of heavy. I lined them this fall with linoleum tiles. And i am finding that the poops are freezing too the PDZ and the board. So today I have them out in the sun to hopefully unfreeze.

Going to have to start doing more than once a week.

I clean daily...and only use about an 1/8" of PDZ.
Yes, it will all freeze...around 25°F is when I find I can't get it off the vinyl liner with my hoe scraper, just have to wait. The wetter the poops, the more it freeze-sticks.
