Looks good. Does that structure double as a nesting box and roost?
Yes. Under the desk is one big nest box, with no bottom yet. But it will get a bottom.

Nice. It looks like a well maintained and well though out system. My poop board is 24" deep x 12' wide, it runs along the back wall of my coop. I keep 1/4 - 1/2 inch of PDZ in there all the time. I scoop poop every morning and add it to my compost pile. The roost board is in the center and raised up about 7 inches. I wanted the roost low, so all the poop stays on the board. I lift the roost up on boards mounted to the coop wall when I scoop so it's out of my way.

My poop scooping tools. I use the scraper to pull poop into the litter scoop and also scrape stuff down. I use the wire office basket once a week to sift all the smaller pieces out of the PDZ. The white board has small eye hooks screwed into the bottom, I use that to level out the PDZ after I scoop.

Sounds simple but effective. I'd you do take a pic, please share. No pictures and I’m not thrilled with my roost/poop board set up. My boards are too close to each other and too close to the wall, so I’ll redo when time permits. We have ducks and chickens together, so I made tables under the roosts so that the ducks have a chicken poop-free zone. I didn’t want to scrape boards everyday so lined with cardboard and shavings, then scrape and replace shavings once per week. I thought I’d replace cardboard once a month but I’ve ended up replacing cardboard every 3 mo or longer. It’s all workable, but not ideal. I may add a lip to the “table top” and try the pdz or sand, except the pdz seems quite expensive.

Very helpful. I think I am going to put sand in my coop on the floor. We'r just built a new coop into our shed and I am wanting to kee pl it clean as possible to keep odors down. Only 7 chickens, but they are poop factories.Blackdog043 uses the same scoop that we do. Our poop boards are also covered with a vinyl that enables the poop to be scooped easily. You have to look carefully but there are 2 poop boards, one under each roost. You can also see a piece of nylon rope above each poop board as this helps prevent the odd chicken from roosting on the poop board. We, too, clean the boards each morning and easily pick up any poop that hits the sand. We are TOTALLY happy with sand, no interest in putting anything else down after we initially tried pine shavings. The poop goes into a large plastic garbage barrel that gets emptied into the compost pile before it gets to heavy to load into a wheelbarrow. NO ammonia smell as the poop isn't left in the coop OR run. Note security cameras to keep an eye on everybody! Roosts can be lifted out of the brackets if needed, and for 1.5 yrs not needed.
