Show Off, survivor of 11/2010 coop attack, (RIP Show Off 5/6/11)

I am amazed at her sheer will to live and even more astounded by your cat. What a wonderful animal, he deserves a huge bag of catnip. This is one of the best stories ever.

I'm so ticked off at her right now I could strangle her myself! I took off her apron to take pictures and didn't get it back on right away and she pecked some of her scabs! Here are the pics BEFORE she picked at one of her legs. Does anyone have a pattern to make her a soft T-Shirt? Her neck is getting rubbed because her apron is too big and it's the smallest I bought.

I work in a hospital and am thinking you could use Coban wrap. It has a slight elasticity to it that sticks it to itself so you don't need clips AND it's relatively cheap so you could replace it every so often. I would wrap her injuries in that. It would move well with her and she couldn't peck through it. It's sold at any pharmacy in town...

I think if you replaced it every three or four days, her feathers would still grow underneath it?!

She is looking good...coompared to her before picture! What kind of hen is she? Have you tried doll cloths? Would a doll shirt work? She looks so sweet...and I love the puddy and her sharing their lunch!!

I hadn't thought of doll clothes, she is a TINY little Bantam who is normally an extremely fluffy cochin with lots and lots of feathers. All those feathers probably saved her life. I really should have posted pics of her when it happened but I knew a lot of people was say put her down and that I was cruel for even thinking of letting her suffer and live. That's why I waited to see what happen, it's taken a lot of time to get this far, but at no times has she acted like she wanted to die or was in horrible pain.
