Yeah I figured it would bleed some. I've had a few roosters bust off spurs. Bled pretty good. Yeah i know to twist just back and forth until it comes loose. I gotta few spares maybe I'll try it out. Still leaves them with a sharp spur after it hardens back up though.Yes, if they are long enough you can twist them right off with your hands. If they are shorter, you may need a pliers to get a grip. I haven't done any in years, but when I was a kid, I seem to remember them bleeding a little, but not too bad. There is a 3/8'' or so soft base underneath. Just make sure to twist them off and not break them off. I can see where that would get real bloody!
