I like these colors... especially this hen. Some of the wild red jungle fowl hens I have seen pictures of, have similar dark colored faces and feathering. Google Image I found....

I have thought about getting jungle fowl anyone have any experience with them?

think of them as a pheasant and you'll be good. They are like having wild birds. Really better to have a habitat for them instead of just an open pen. My opinion.

Even if it's just like random boards and stuff setup so they can get in or under. Around me are a lot of sugarcane plantations the guys that I knew would get the scrap pieces and make like dens and stuff and they stayed in that granted that was f1or f2 stock and were wild.

Thinking about tearing down the fence and sliding them pens over 20 ft or so. Too much rain.

I ended up unstaking and moving pens last spring after about the 4th or 5th chicken I bathed yes bathed and was a big relief after I did.

I've got a lot going on right now and I screwed up and left my last bale of straw out in the rain yesterday. Usually when they get bad I'll add some straw to keep their feet outta the mud. It's actually not that bad just three pens that sit a lil lower. Plus two of the birds seem like they like playing in the mud. Lol

Bathing birds has got be about as much fun as washing a cat. In just joking about tearing that fence down. Them posts are set in concrete. Although I do need to cut in another gate. I'm tired of walking all the way through the pens carrying one bird. It's like I'm teasing the rest of em. They get all fired up.

No kidding. Chickens are very strange like that huh. That bird I'm having issues with let me mess with his legs ( baby oil, and Vaseline ) with no problems at all. Set him down and all bets are off.
