Anybody got any whites ?And hamelife we used to have some Clarets back when we had about 100 birds then we got rid of all of em.And sadly I was only bout 8 and we don't have any pics.

Here's my Madigin Claret hen. She's the only Claret I have right now. She should throw off some nice stags. This time next year I should have some of her sons to show off.

And once again gamelife thanks for showing those nice looking birds that Claret hen is a very good specimen for sure, not knocking the others as you know I really like the brandyywine Leipers too.

That Claret is the most spoiled chicken I've ever had. Her pen is the closest pen to the house so my kids are always giving her treats. Her character
around them is fascinating. Just the other day while I was free ranging her my son was playing in the sand box and she came over and starting digging and scratching with him, I thought that was just too cool. She's a keeper. I'm hoping next spring she'll produce some stags with the same or similar temperament as her. Not sure what cock to put her with yet, be it pure Claret or pure Leiper but I know he's gotta shine in character and body and of course the red wine.

Where do you find reference materials to know the color names of your birds? My chickens look just like the pictures I see here. I don't see many "wheaten" but that is what somebody told me I have several of. What kind of rooster goes with wheaten?
