I'm patiently waiting, its cloudy, wet, humid, and every now and then big drops fall once every few seconds for a couple minutes at a time then it'll stop. I'm about to get it storming by going try to do something outsideI think my chicks need some webbed feet
cool, my friend that had pheasants with me had muscovies they'd get in a big circle and hiss at each other. Catching them was always fun with their clawsSo True, I like the muscovies the hissing and they got freaking claws compared to the other ducks... also runner type bodies sort of have grown on me. We had a few back a long time ago. My daughter did 4-H... and she had all hatchery ordered birds yet consistently won, (with the exception of her ducks... got them from a backyard flock) she always did well with ducks, her geese where blue ribbon birds... but the funnest thing was her show chicken, a hatchery RIR, she was this little tiny kid with the big a hen making it walk explaining it to the judge, and that hen just loved to show off, the 4-H leader said it would never work a big bird for her show bird but she did so well, the 4-H leader had to change their mind. You can't make a big hen walk with chopsticks, she had to actually train her bird, the result was a hen that did things on command, never pecked or tried to attack people like the bantams would. I miss that hen. The bird thought she was a dog and hung out with our dogs came to the recall whistle for the dogs, slept in the dog house even.
When I stayed by my sisters in ky I saw something like that come over the Tennessee river shortly after my wife's car got riddled with golf ball sized hail
