yeah my wife wants to keep excess her thoughts are " if we lose one we need back up" which I totally agree with but the subject changes when I tell her she cares for the ones she keeps

Same here, my wife helps me a heck of a lot, so if she wants something I do what I can to accommodate. I gotta keep my bride happy.

Mine likes helping/doing the other stuff associated with keeping them. Everyday feed and watering I do.

I leave for work around 3-4 am so my wife let's all the young birds and hens with chicks out every day when she gets up around 5:30.
I do most of the day to day but with chicks in spring she helps a lot. Fills waterers and feeders while I'm tending to something else.

I use water and feed cups year round. So I fill water cups before I go in for the night and as soon as I get home in the early afternoon.
In winter i use V bottom black 16 oz cups and summer 32 oz gray oval cups. I hate waterers and the milk jugs obviously work but they get filthy quick. Some birds are worse than others with screwing up their water though.
