lol great postI had an Easter egger rooster years ago. That sob was the worst rooster I have ever seen in my life. Mean to the hens, man fighter, yet would run from a silkie rooster but wouldn't take any sh*t from the peacock either. Screwy in the head. He would drop his head and run like a bullet and tackle hens by the head. He finally got the lead pipe after he came up from behind me kicking away. I skinned him too. Caught a few bass off that piece of sh*t using his feathers for flies.
You see all these threads about roosters on here. It ain't easy to find a good one with the hens. I culled 13 to keep just two and one of them had to be water boarded when he was young. He would slide tackle the hens and he was good at it tooOh no layers laying down for the miner you're not planning on shubining them huh
Makes sense I've never had layers and the folk That I know that did had no rooster
Yep that's why you hear everyone talking about neutering them or whatever. They need to realize that rooster just sucks.I think it has some to do with the emphasis on laying and the roosters are just the byproduct of selecting for egg laying capacity.
So the roosters are basically insane

I think need directs selection. Cows or chickens, each has their own purpose. There are good Holsteins just as their are good Gamefowl, it really comes down to the individual breeder, and not simply propagators, although for some, there is no distinction.Similar pattern you will see in Holsteins. Cows bred for milk production while bulls are big and often aggressive.
