The red cross always bungles their helping role, I've heard complaints all the way back to the second world war about them.

The larger the organization the less efficient... it's a known phenomenon (not just politically, but in corporations, institutions, organisms, etc). But larger tends to be more powerful.

I used to work for private companies.. and now I work for a corporation. The differences are astonishing. Waste, decision making and communication are major problems.

The key word is "power" even if it's a non profit, religious org, etc.. It doesn't matter people are just power hungry in general and would love to tell people what to do. It would be nice if we lived in a world where you could still slap the smug look off the power hungry idiots faces. It would be a much better place where people would think before they spoke.

Sdm, after what red cross did during this flood, we will never donate another dime to them. They showed their true colors this time.

true but all the help from the common folk did prevail. The local churches and businesses were taking donations by the single bag to trailer full and it DID get to the people that needed it. Cooking hot meals and giving water out. These organizations that come in with a take full control kinda attitude only **** stuff up. like the article said when the shtf people can come together it just depends on WHO it involves. The go getters will be just fine
