Sdm111, going teal hunting or what? Heard they ain't seeing as many as they normally do.

I was hearing teal will be closed for a couple yrs. I need to see if it's the whole area or just some spots. I don't teal hunt anyway too hot




Update: teal season closed on approx 1/2 of a refuge here (bayou savage) while the army Corp of engineers restores approx 147 acres of marshland. This refuge is youth hunt only

Season opens oct 22 here. A couple days of hunting wood ducks then it closes til mid November. Blue wings are long gone from here by now.

No far from Texas.

They just dont have that wow factor... I think the black is a bit small and has narrow hips... the golden has a small head and not as active as her siblings.

Not saying they are bad, but I just have too many in my yard so I am searching hard for the best of best. Basically their moms/sisters are in better standing.

Last years chicks got into totes by accident and ate them all.
