I was thinking he is a Bates till I looked at his toe marks, pure Ruble

They all come green legged? Mine are mostly blue legged. I got 1 green legged stag out of em last year and 1 pullet this year. All the rest are blue.

His is soaking wet. You bet I tried to get him to hold it up but he just hot stepped away from me.

congratulations, how many head u gonna keep for yourself from this year's hatch?

I lost a lot of the first hatches during all that rain we had in March, I'm going to be culling hard here in the next few weeks. Almost all the stags are safe though.

Thanks. I spend many hours every single day screwing around with em. My wife has some birds too. I'll be d*mned if they ain't pretty good too. Pretty quick, had one of mine looking around like where'd u go u sob. Lol.

Always good to make it a family affair. My wife is not into owning any birds, but she is always happy to help care for them and brings them treats from the garden. It is funny to hear the birds start "talking" when they see her coming with a bucket.

Flypen, good for the stags sucks about the rain though but just gotta deal with it keep on trucking. Feels good this morning mid 50's and the chickens must be feeling froggy they been crowing since early
