Havoc,
Nice bird. would you mind telling a little about her. She appears to have some redness high on her neck. What effect, if any, does that have on her chicks? What color male do you put with such hens?
She's a pullet from this year. I'll try to get pics of her parents tomorrow.

Aseels are high station with a broad chest and hard feathered tail. The hackles also do not cover neck as much as in the bankovid type games. The station is what appears strong in the male show. Aseel also have a peacomb which the male shown does not. The peacomb character is easy to remove with only two generations of grading into the bankovid type which generally has a straight comb. I think some Spanish have rose combs although I do not know if that is in the Spanish prior to additions of Aseel. My guess it predates Aseel infusion.
Thanks, yes, I noticed the hackle feathering in the male shown. Perhaps it is variation of the line as pictures of his nest mates showed heavier feathering. Not having handled Spanish, they appear to be fairly tall birds and I expect less dense. The gentleman I purchased these from said they came from the Flower's family and were selected to the darker side although threw blues, which was my main interest in them.

thank you... he is cool. Great colors and good temperament. I have one offspring from him crossed with Modern Game, I am keeping an eye on that one.

The other BBR spanish is a bit rough to handle, not exactly a man fighter but close to it.

I dont like the shorter days... not enough time to do yard work...

temps sure have dropped here. Got dew and fog cover till noon today.
Yep, sure has cooled off here too. Had frost on the windshield the other morning! Waters will be icing up soon.
