Short in the legs but can roll

I read something about beekeepers having sick bees get loose or breed with local populations and that it was hurting the wild bees. Not sure if it's true or not. Since a few of you guys know a lot more about bees than I, what say u?

I think we are moving bees around too much and mixing them up. That is part of short-term problem. At same time we are bringing a much broader range of pest impacting honeybees. Then the mixed up populations are fighting a much broader range of parasites than any single source population must deal with. Longer-term, if we allow natural selection to take its course, then we are likely to see populations of honey bees adapt to what parasites but that does take a little time. The constant movement of bee strains (usually as queens) though keeps disrupting any adaptions that might be developing. Migratory beekeepers are not helping that problem much either.

The crappy fall flows in some areas like here are not helping where hives do not get that extra kick before going into winter. I loose too may young queens when it is generally to late to replace them as well.
