I've been planting tomatoes in my greenhouse, didn't realize how much my roosters crow. Was 13 below yesterday morning, good thing Pennsylvania has cheap natural gas now.

I went up to Springfield,Mo. in January once and the snow was crazy. I couldn't imagine that amount of snow here.

Got about 15 RIR and 8 toppy game bantam eggs in my incubator... I must be going crazy.... lol

Good news they are not mine. Got them from the guy who sold me my most two recent game roosters. He said I could have a few Rhode Island Reds hatchlings if I incubated them for him. He is not paying me, more of a favor.

Transplanted 4 tomatoes out into the yard this weekend... pumpkins seeds are sprouting like crazy out in the yard. Dozen or more sugar cane stocks reaching about a foot tall. Spring is here for me. Blossoms on all the trees. Very pretty rigth now.

I gave my chickens "tea" this weekend instead of water... I made big jug of rosemary "tea" with hot water and a little lemon juice, to warm them up on a cold (45 deg) morning.

Never heard of anyone doing anything like this, but I figured it cant be bad for them...

Has anyone ever given chickens warm water or tea concoction?

I give em warm water everyday in the winter. Mainly cause my hose is frozen. No tea though.

Speaking of warm, I just made it to New Orleans and all you need is a short sleeve shirt. 77° No jacket needed!!
